Basketball drills for technique catching

  • The ball is caught with the left, passed to the right and thrown with the right.
  • The ball will start to spin like a 'figure eight'.
  • After 20 times catching with the right, transferring to the left and throwing with the left, the ball will start spinning.
  • Opposite players.
  • Players throw the ball with one hand and catch with two hands.
  • Practise 25 times with the right and 25 times with the left.
  • Have the players stand a little closer together and throw up with a bounce.
  • As an exercise throw and catch, but the ball is played at knee height.
  • Pay particular attention to the pins, which are a little closer together and point to the ground.

    • Set or jump shot from your position (guard, forward, center).

    • Up to 4 touches per player!!!!!
    • Losers, 1x back and forth slides in width.8 hoops/pawns for shooting positions.

  • NO dribbles only passing.
  • Half of the basketball players have a ball.
  • These basketball players dribble all over the room.
  • On the whistle they pass the ball to someone they first made eye contact with.
  • The pass they use to do so is up to them.
  • Choose the pass that is best in the situation.
  • If you are close to the ball, do not pass.
