Handball drills

  • Practice swap
  • Set up and middle, after a few times other set up
  • Switch with the corner
  • Ladder, then sprint to the side lane
  • Push sideways at the cones
  • Sprint between side lines, back outside.parcourt
  • 2 ladders opposite each other,
  • 2 high cones in the middle (on the sides) between the running ladders,
  • 1 pawn with a hockey cap in the middle between the running ladders.
  • From behind the ladders 2 players start at the same time;
  • walk down the ladder,
  • then to the side around the pawn and back to the pawn in the middle,
  • The first one to grab the vest wins.
  • As soon as the jacket is taken, the next 2 players can start.

    • High (Right-to-left)
    • Low (Right-Left)
    • Free, 9 meter jump shot
  • Two teams, the cards are upside down in the middle of the field on both teams.
  • The intention is that they have turned over 1 to 9 in order,
    • So if they haven't turned over the right card they run back and tap the next one.
  • Ace is 1 and then just continue 2 to 9.

Stand in a large circle.

  1. Start with one ball.
    • Play around clockwise at pace.
    • Add one ball at a time.
    • Whoever drops the ball has to do 10 push-ups.
    • Also play around counterclockwise.
  2. Player A has the ball.
    • Player B starts inside and gets the ball from player A,
    • Player C starts in and gets the ball from player B etc. etc.
  3. If 2.
    • But.....
    • When player A has passed the ball to player B
    • player A runs clockwise as fast as possible outside the circle back to his / her position before the ball arrives back there.
    • Player A plays to player B again and when player B passes the ball to player C, player B runs as fast as possible clockwise outside the circle etc. etc. with player D, E, F, G etc. etc.

Attack - Defence

  • Play around and threaten towards goal/defender
  • 1 of the corner players plays the ball to the other corner player
  • the other corner player rounds to the goal or plays to the build-up player
  • if not successful, then just keep attacking and playing around
  • Both left and right

Everyone a ball and bounce through 6 meter area. Doing different exercises:

  • Bounce the ball through your legs every now and then
  • Bounce the ball behind your back
  • Try to catch the ball from someone else.
  • Bounce on the spot, sit while bouncing, then lie down and then stand up again.
  • Bounce with the wrong hand


Variant with the whistle:

  • 1 whistle means bouncing with the wrong hand,
  • To whistle twice is to pass the ball to someone you see,
  • 3 whistles means bouncing the ball quickly to the touchline and back again.
  • At the end of the training, have the two teams play against each other.
  • Coaching them, but letting the game run.
  • Pointing out the pressure they have to put on and connecting.

Organization:

  • Make 5 equal groups, 1 group at each side and 3 in the middle.
  • Make sure both sides have several balls.
  • Put 2 defenders (red) just inside the 9 meter line.


Sequence:

  • B1 plays to B2
  • B2 runs to the ball and plays to B3
  • B3 plays to B4 and B4 tries to score.
  • Meanwhile, B1 has to chase the ball to help the defenders.


Then repeat from left to right.

Points of attention:

  • Swap positions clockwise every 2 min,
  • After 10 minutes everyone has played every position.
  • Pass quickly and accurately, if the defenders get the ball, stop the exercise and start again from the other side.

  • Pendulum swing (horse walk).
  • 1 defender (V1) with attacker (A1) on the circle
  • 1 defender (V2) in front who has to catch the attacking structure (A2)
  • Attacking set-up A2 receives ball from the corner (A3) and runs towards V2;
  • A1 steps out and stands left of V2 and blocks, A2 passes V2 on the right who is blocked by A1;
  • Circle defender V1 has to choose, either follow A1 or pass to A2;
  • A2 has to choose, if V1 comes, pass to A1, who then turns away from block position and stands free on the circle;
  • or A2 shoots himself if V1 chooses to continue defending A1.
