Handball drills
- make 2 teams / 1 ball in the 9m
- 3x replay
- 1st team starts passing the ball 20x but may not pass to the same player
- by dropping the ball or leaving the field of play the count will start again
- are there 20 counts reached both teams sprint to the middle line
- after 3x retrieve there is a winner / winner may determine what loser does
- make several teams of 5, 4 or 3 players / depending on the number of players in the training
- 2 teams start to play against each other
- who scores continues playing, who does not score leaves the field and a new team comes on the field
- give different instructions at the beginning, e.g. always a change must be included, no steuten or 10-second rule double score....
- team of 3 players
- 1 ball
- 2 players play the ball to themselves and try to tap the 3th player
- then change
- in 10 meter space or on 1 half
- Player starts from the corner, moves across the circle and out towards the pawns
- Make 2 rows and then take turns to warm up the goalkeeper, then fetch the ball.
- Organization:
- Make 5 equal groups, 1 group at each side and 3 in the middle.
- Make sure both sides have several balls.
- Put 2 defenders (red) just inside the 9 meter line.
- Sequence:
- B1 plays to B2
- B2 runs to the ball and plays to B3
- B3 plays to B4 and B4 tries to score.
- Meanwhile, B1 has to chase the ball to help the defenders.
- Then repeat from left to right.
- Points of attention:
Swap positions clockwise every 2 minutes, after 10 min everyone will have played every position.
Pass quickly and accurately, and put pressure in the joint (i.e. between 2 defenders, if the defenders get the ball, the exercise stops and you start again from the other side.
- Make pairs
- Stand on the back line, one sprints to the middle line and back and the other does an exercise. When the first has finished sprinting it is the other's turn.
- Sit against the wall / planks / squats
- change several times in 1 exercise
- Team of two with ball, sitting opposite each other on the mat
- Person A holds ball above head with both hands and moves to supine position while tapping the ground with ball backwards with outstretched arms
- Person A moves to sitting position and hands the ball to person B
- Person B goes to the supine position and taps the ground with the ball backwards
- and so on
May also be with bended knees
- In prone position throw ball to partner
- Partner rolls the ball back over the ground
- MO starts towards left, LO plays pass to inside starting MO
- MO goes further into corner and plays pass to back past starting LH, LH puts pressure for UR, LO starts in towards middle
- LH plays pass to in starting LO
- LO pressures left of MA-l and plays pass to in starting RO, CS puts bar on MA-r, LO puts bar on MA-l, LH starts in to centre
- RO plays pass to in starting LO
- LO completes from circle
- RO plays pass to inside starting LO
- LO puts pressure on HR and plays pass to back of starting LH, CS-l puts bar on UR
- LH puts pressure on MA-r and plays pass to free standing CS
- CS completes
