Hockey drills

Goal is to put 3 in a row.
  • Make 2 teams
  • From each team, 1 player runs with a colored hat and places it in a hoop
  • When the first player returns the 2nd player of the team starts, then the 3rd.
  • When there is 1 hat of each color the 4th player may move a colored hat to get 3 in a row.

Course with:

  • drag (fetching ball from left to right)
  • slalom
  • v-drag (exit left, retrieve accelerate over right)
  • dummy

Exercise:

  • Start at the top left with the ball
  • Play through the bar to the person on the bottom left
  • Who plays the ball to the bottom right
  • Who plays the ball to the top right
  • The person from the top left runs on to the head circle and rounds off
Attention: passing and keeping the ball low

  • red = attacker
  • blue = defender

  • the field is divided into 2 by cones
  • red plays the ball in to blue -> blue plays the ball back to red
  • then a 1 on 1 starts
  • goal of blue is to force the attacker to the outside
  • red's goal is to score as quickly as possible (through the middle is the quickest way)
  • you cannot cross the cones line
  • when the attacker arrives in the circle he/she can hit the goal

You must try to cross each other's line.
Rules:
  • You may not pass the ball forward, only backward
  • You are allowed to drive the ball forward

  • Player 1 shoots at goals.
  • When player 1 has shot, player 2 goes to try to score in the goaltending area.
  • Player 1 must run Diversion.

Organization:
  • Set up the exercise as shown in the picture.
Execution:
  • Player 1 plays the ball to player 2.
  • Player 2 plays the ball to player 3.
  • Player 2 runs wide.
  • Takes the ball, runs into the circle and shoots at goal (left on the backhand, right on the forehand).
  • Turn through, chasing the ball.

  • Series of 5 exercises all lasting 30 sec with 15 sec rest.
  • After 5 exercises rest for 1 min and then a second series.

Execution:
  • The 3 defenders play the ball around
  • White offers and tries to score on the big goal
  • If blue takes the ball away, they can get right by driving one of the 2 gates -from 2 sides.
  • They may also tackle the bowl to divert
