Hockey drills
Exercise:
- Player Blue stands between the four pawns and plays player Red firmly -hard push.
- Player Blue keeps eye contact with player Red and chooses position left or right between the pawns.
- Player Red plays the ball firmly back to Blue's chosen position -attack position.
- Player Blue accepts open and then finishes on goal.
Important:
- Players Blue and Red stand with straight backs and bent legs on the ball of the foot. In the 'starting blocks'.
- Stick just slightly above the knees.
Construction:
- Player Blue takes open first at both attack positions on the forehand, then on the backhand, then alternately.
Level:
- For 1st year D players, it is recommended that the trainer take the role of player Red in the beginning.
- As confidence grows, and effectiveness, players can assume the role of Red.
- A runs around the pawns with the ball and pushes to B
- B passes to C
- C drives around the pawns into the circle and passes to B who has run into the circle
- Defender D comes into action B and C try to score
Option 1: Extra defender and A attacks with him.
- A pushes to B
- B passes to C
- C drives around the pawns into the circle
- C rounds on goal
Option 1: B runs into the circle and gets the ball from C and rounds on goal.
Option 2: additional player D stands at the second post and tips in.
- B starts running around the pawn triangle
- At the middle pawn it gets the ball
- And then plays the ball back to A
- B runs further in
- It receives the ball in the backhand
- In the exercise from the other side, you are played into your forehand
- When B has taken the ball, he plays it to C
- C has run past the pawns in the meantime

You can do this exercise on both sides of the pitch so that you can pass faster in succession.
- V1 starts with the ball

- Part 2:
- After the player in coverage gets the ball the 2-on-1 starts.
- Part 3:
- A pair, attacker and defender, also starts in the circle.
- A starts with the ball
- B runs in and gets the ball from A
- B takes the ball strongly and turns away past the pawns. Keep the ball on the stick.
- C runs in and takes the ball strongly.
- B runs through and gets the ball back from C. This may be a rebound as long as it is hard and clean.
- Team blue starts in a 2:1 where one of the players must leave the square running.
- If this is successful it becomes a 5:4.
- A 2nd ball follows from the trainer.
- In the two squares, there is loitering.
- Taking turns, the blue ones from the square attack, creating a 4-on-3.
- When this attack is over, they go back to their square and loaf.
- Then the other square starts attacking.
- B runs towards the 23 where it receives a ball in the run from A
- B runs through the pawn lines to the circle and hits the goal
- C runs towards the 23 where he receives a ball in the run from A
- C continues behind the last pawn lines towards the circle and hits the goal
- A strikes on goal
- B hits the goal
- Defenders step into the field
- C starts the 3 on 2
