Hockey drills
- The centre mid runs in towards the defender (red) he plays the ball to the right half, who runs into the free space
- The centre mid runs forward.
- Right half plays the ball between the defenders to the right front who comes running in between the defenders.
- Front right passes te ball to the left and goes past the defender and runs in the circle.
- The centre mid now has two options that influence finishing:
- 1: he plays the ball to the striker to the left within the circle area.
- Striker plays directly on goal OR crosses to the right front (and runs towards the front of the second post).
- 2: he plays it to the right of the central defender on the right front player.
- Right front attempts to shoot directly on goal OR passes towards to second post, striker tips it in.
- 1: he plays the ball to the striker to the left within the circle area.
- Tip: Because the game can change depending on choices, communication is key!
- Indicate where you want the ball and shout to whom you are playing it!
- Player starts at the blue pilon and runs inwards.
- While running he receives the ball and continues.
- Before the player reaches the red pilon, the ball must be passed on to the next player.
- The centre mid player passes to the left half, left half to the left front.
- Left front puts it back in front of the striker.
- Striker crosses it and right front scores with a tip-in.
- The defender (1) plays the ball to the right back (2).
- Right half (3) pulls in and right front player (4) goes deep.
- Defender (2) plays a deep pass to the front right player (4).
- Front right player turns away and plays the ball back to the midfielder (3).
- Midfielder plays the ball back to the other central defender (5) who runs forward.
- Pass to the left back (6) and then repeat the same exercise over the right.
- recieve the ball on your forehand or backhand,
- recieve forehand and turn strong to your left site.
- recieve backhand and turn strong to your right site.
- under press:
- recieve on the side were the defender is and recieve strong turn the other way and speed up
- Passing:
- push, slap, hit, overhead, running lob
- Recieving:
- FH: left hand forward, walk/run into the bal, open- closed recieve
- BH: recieve with a high backhand run into direction of the ball
- Note: recieve always on the move
- Push: In the cirkel and close by the goal
- slap: for a deflection or from 2 meter inside the cirkel

- indian dribble: make touches from FH/BH if you have control increase the speed
- dummy: drag the bal to your left food make a c pull with out the ball, drag the ball with your backhand to your righthand site and speed up

- it all starts with lifting of the ball in the air you make a move to change direction
- 3 v 2 :
- ball speed is importend as is the shortest way to the goal
- make a triangle with one player wide and one player up high to stretch the field
- look for the 2 v 1
- defenders Work together and defend zone
- 4 v 3 :
- make sure where you want to play
- make game like postions: Center mid, left mid, center striker and left forward

- defenders:
- 4 man build stretch the field and dare to play forward
- center mid; postion offset that means always be on the other side as the ball ( always help side )
- Lmid and Rmid: start small and not on the same hight, lead outside and get the ball on the line moving forward (help side mid open up)
- center stricker: start up high and make a lead into the ball when the LMid or Rmid is leading outside
- Left forward and right forward: lead outside and move back inside if you get the ball. if you dont get the bal lead forward and inside.
- Defender:
- central free defender moves into mid field, Left and right back come more inside
- center mid; move up a bit so the central defender has more space
- LM and Rm : open the field as wide as possible
- Center striker : connect with the CM mid or RM and LM
- Left and right forward: stretch the field
- Zone :
- if the opponent plays zone marking you can try to play inside or trow a high ball wide into space man to man:
- play inside drop and bite and go asap wide. look for the 2-1
- Defender:
- central free defender moves into mid field,
- Left and right back come more inside
- center mid; move up a bit so the central defender has more space
- LM and Rm : open the field as wide as possible
- Center striker : connect with the CM mid or RM and LM
- Left and right forward: stretch the field
- 5 man build is the same only difference is that the central mid is dropping in to the defense line
- Zone :
- if the opponent plays zone marking you can try to play inside or trow a high ball wide into space
- man to man:
- play inside drop and bite and go asap wide. look for the 2-1
- defense system
- defend man to man
- central free defender close the gaps
- everyone move to ball side
- center striker is responsible for the 2 central defenders all the other marking man to man
