Hockey drills for technique warming-up

The team is divided into 2 squads:
  • 1 team to the right of the circle
  • 1 team to the left of the circle

  • One player from each team will stand at the blue pot and on the 23 meter line at the orange pots.
  • The rest of the teams start at the red pots.
  • The ball passes through a push from the red to the blue and from the blue to the orange pots.
  • When the player at the orange potty receives the ball, this player dribbles until he is in the circle and then finishes on goal.

Goal is to put 3 in a row.
  • Make 2 teams
  • From each team, 1 player runs with a colored hat and places it in a hoop
  • When the first player returns the 2nd player of the team starts, then the 3rd.
  • When there is 1 hat of each color the 4th player may move a colored hat to get 3 in a row.


  • Series of 5 exercises all lasting 30 sec with 15 sec rest.
  • After 5 exercises rest for 1 min and then a second series.

Exercise 1:
  • Warm up - 1x walk across
  • Jogging 4x
  • 70% sprint

NOTE: Take everything on the forehand!

  • Take a lap around the field. On the long sides jog, on the short sides walk.
  • Stand upright, feet hip-width apart. Make 20 squats at slow pace.
  • Stand upright, feet hip-width apart. Make 20 jump squats. Begin with arms extended above your head. To add extra power to the jump; Drop your arms along your body while bending your knees. Swing the arms through to the back and jump while moving your arms back forward and up. Keep your back straight, hips back, feet flat on the ground.
  • Do lunges in three positions per leg. Basic position; stand upright with your feet slightly apart.
    • Put your right leg straight ahead and bend the knee 90 degrees. Your left knee as close to the ground as possible; come up.
    • Put your right leg, with the foot turned slightly forward to the right side. Bend your left knee. Return to base position.
    • Put your right leg back, bend your left knee. Return to base position.
    • Put your left leg straight ahead and bend the knee 90 degrees. Your right knee as close to the ground as possible; come up.
    • Put your left leg, with the foot turned slightly forward to the left side. Bend your right knee. Return to base position.
    • Put your left leg back, bend your right knee. Return to base position.
  • Make a lap along the field. On the long sides jog. On the short sides sprint.
  • Player 1 plays player 2 in the run
  • Player 2 runs around pawn B to the next pawn C
  • Player 2 passes to player 3 at cone C
  • Player 3 passes the ball back immediately at cone D
  • Player 2 takes the ball back in the run
  • Player 2 passes the ball to player 1 at pawn A

  • Repeat this for 3 minutes
  • With 2 players simultaneously in the square is also possible

Conquer the goaltending:

  • Team blue and team red
  • With a controlled pass through the goalmouth, you "conquer" the goal.
  • The team that conquered all the goals wins.
  • A goal can be recaptured by the other side playing a controlled pass through that goal.

  • Float to the first jar

  • Try to be as fast as possible

Red player starts with the ball and begins drifting to the next pot and then pushes the ball to the blue player.
The blue player takes open around the pot and then also drifts to the next pot and then pushes to red again!
