Korfball drills for technique general

  • 2 poles facing each other (each at 7 meters from the center line 4 poles side by side ).
  • Each post has its own 2/3 team.
  • The 2 players going for a through ball run towards the other pole.
  • In the middle they run around the pylon (or around the center line).
  • The players sprint back to their own post and take a through ball 40x scoring
Variants
  • Instead of a through ball a pull away ball behind the post. 20x scoring
  • instead of a through ball you take an away ball at max 3 m from the post 20x scoring
  • instead of a through ball you pass the post and get the ball in front of you and shoot from the back 20x score

drawing Scoring ability under physical strain
Two teams of maximum 4 people, 1 ball.
On both sides 2 people in the court, other people behind the back line.

Goal:
score in 1x in the other court (inside the lines).

Rules:
Start with simple underhand service
We play underhand tennis, so in 1x over the net.
Difficult ball may bounce 1x, but then the ball must be returned with : 1 hand, a foot, or the head.

Mistake made => out of the court, to the back line, new player takes over.

Explanation
  • Divide the group into pairs. Each pair has a ball and a basket with four hats.
  • Plot the field as shown in the drawing.
  • Player 1 starts at the hat in front of the basket, player 2 is the give-up.
  • Player 1 starts with a broadside and then tightly sets up for the through ball.
  • After the through ball, player 1 keeps moving close to the basket for a short chance.
  • Finally, player 1 makes a deep line for the shot.
  • After this, player 1 alternates with player 2.
To make it competitive, you can tie points to the different goals.
drawing Warm-up with ball
Per 2 or 3 players:

  • Timing is important. Work with fixed function
  • With 3 players, player blue is the declarer, player red is going to take a through ball, player white makes sure the action for the shot is started at the right moment.
  • Then player red also goes to drop in again at the right moment.
  • Exchange after 10 actions.

  • With 2 players, the shooter of the ball is also the one who catches the ball.
  • After a rebound, the ball is passed to the shooter and the player under the basket goes out again.
  • Ball is played laterally and support is called again for the through ball.
  • Change after 7 chances -2x-.
drawing Action-Reaction
  • On a tennis court, you will play in 2 squares 2 against 2.
  • Both courts are attacking.
  • When intercepting, the ball must first go to the other side.
  • Play with 2 teams of 2.
  • Both squares are attacking squares.
  • On interception, the ball must go to the other side first.
drawing Party on tennis court
Everyone takes 2 penalty throws.
  • If you miss, you have to run across the width of the field with the whole team.
  • If you miss 2 times, you must run back and forth with the whole team.
drawing Penalty throws
You play the game as follows:
  • Form two teams.
  • Throw the ball as fast as possible from one side to the other.
  • Use only one hand while doing so.
  • If the ball hits the ground or if you throw with two hands, start at the beginning of the line again.
Assignments for 3 teams: always take turns taking chances

  • Together score 9 go-arounds in a row.
    • In pairs make 6 go-arounds.
  • Together score 6 run-throughs in a row.
    • Basket from 2 to 4.
  • Together score 6 run-throughs, then together score 4 shots from movement from about 6 feet. Switch through after 2 shots.
    • Basket from 2 first together, score 4 through runners, then score together 4 shots from motion from about 4 meters behind the basket, change after 3 shots.
  • First each score 1 through runner, then each score 2 penalty throws.
    • At basket of 2, someone scores 2 follow-throughs.
  • First each score 1 follow-through, then each score 4 short chances under the basket.
    • At basket of 2, someone scores 2 through runners, and then each scores 6 short chances.
  • Player A starts with the ball 2.5 meters diagonally in front of the post. Player B also stands 2.5 meters diagonally in front of the post.
  • Player A throws the ball to player B and player B throws it back. Thus they bring the ball up to about 8 meters in front of the post.
  • From there, player B starts for a through ball from the space indicated by player A.
  • However, instead of player B taking the through ball, it now enters the declarer and player A comes in for a clearance ball. Player B catches the ball.
A variation on this:
Only throw the ball when player B runs next to/behind the basket and player B immediately makes a shot. Player A immediately runs in to catch the ball.

There are more variations on this, such as:
  • Most goals in a time frame of, say, 10 minutes
  • Who scores 10 goals first
  • Make it more difficult by deducting a point for each ball on the ground.
  • Possibly with a 3rd player to rotate and keep a slightly slower pace.

drawing Shooting from space
Line up Y shape
  • In front throw ball over.
  • The one behind the post chooses a side.
  • Gets the ball -> throws it back to the one who comes connected.
  • The one who did not throw the ball comes for support.
  • Ball is played in.
  • Action and shot.
