Korfball drills for technique rebound

  1. Number 1 starts at about 4/5 meters in front of the basket, this is the shooter.
  2. Number 2 starts under the basket, this is the rebounder who is going to block.
  3. Number 3 starts in the space around the basket and will also try to rebound, but then from space.
  4. Number 2 is going to try to block number 3.
  5. The first player to win 3 rebounds, can start shooting.
  • Around the basket are 4 hats at about 3 meters.
  • At 5 metres there are 4 hats of another colour.
  • In the small square stands the rebounder and outside the big square stands the shooter.
  • The shooter shoots from outside the lines and must hit 5 times.
  • The winner is the one who scores the 5 goals in the least number of turns.
  • The winner then plays against another winner and the loser against another loser.

Rules

  • We play in excess for attack.
  • Per 3 or 5 on a pole. (When there are enough exercises, 7 or 8 on a pole is also possible).
  • The goal is not to stay in the same place, so move around a lot and get in shooting position as much as possible.
  • Use all the space around the basket.

Task 1:

  • Player 1 is the attacker, player 2 and 3 stand around the basket.
  • Player 1 plays player 2, and goes out.
  • Player 2 passes the ball on to player 3 who shoots.
  • Player 2 cuts in to catch the ball.
  • After catching, you again play to the shooter, who in turn plays to the next one to get a shot, etc.

Task 2:

  • All players stand around the basket and start playing.
  • Move after passing.

Task 3:

  • All players stand around the basket and start playing.
  • Move after passing. (even when you are in the support).
  • Aim to score and not because you are free.

Task 4:

  • All players stand around the basket and start playing.
  • Cross every time after passing. (play with 3 attackers).
  • Get ready to score.

Task 5:

  • Play with support, but it is filled in by someone else after each pass.
  • In groups of 3 or 4 on a pole:
    • Player 1 is declarer, player 2 and 3 (or 4) stand around the basket.
    • Player 1 plays player 2, and goes out.
    • Player 2 passes the ball on to player 3 who shoots.
    • Player 2 cuts in to catch the ball.
    • After catching the ball, you play the shooter again, who in turn plays the next player to get a shot, etc.
  • The aim is to move well, and to react well to the rebound action from space.

This is an isolated drill to practice dynamic rebounding.

  • Players have to estimate from the movement where the ball will end up and grab it as fast as possible.
  • The ball starts under the basket and is thrown to the player in front of the post.
  • He shoots.
  • The player in front of the post runs to the cap and back and tries to catch the ball within 1 bounce.
  • When the rebounder has succeeded in catching the ball after at most one bounce, he can shoot again.
  • Move the cap further away.
  • Challenge players to catch the ball without a bounce.
  • You will do this task in pairs.
  • Use a basket for each pair.
  • Put 4 hats around the basket in a square about 1.5 meters from the basket. (the basket is in the middle)
  • Stand in between the 2 hats in front of the basket.
  • Shoot to score.
  • The person under the basket names a colour and you tap on that colour.
  • Go back between the 2 hats in front of the basket.
  • If you have scored, you don't have to run to a colour.
  • Do this until someone has scored 5.

drawing set up actions from 4-0
  • Keep moving and make sure the pass comes from the space.
  • There is always room for a break-through or a shot.
  • The third player takes care of the catch and plays the ball again.
  • Variant on shot movement triangle
    • Instead of a shot
    • Start rebounding away for a short chance
    • Front player remains in play-off position
    • Indicates position of rebound (1/5)
  • Variant 2:
    • Frontline player runs one back (space)
    • Ball diagonal and throwing player comes next to it
drawing Variant of triangle shot movement
  • Player 1 starts at a few meters from the basket to start a distance shot.
  • The ball is caught by player 2 and player 1 makes a run through.
  • The ball is caught again and player 1 makes a short chance from behind the basket.
  • If none of these 3 chances are seated, the player must do it again.
  • If one of the 3 chances is placed, the next player may try again.
  • Two players per basket.
  • At five metres in front of the basket stands an attacker, who shoots 3x at the basket, each goal is two points.
  • Underneath the basket is a rebounder.
  • The rebounder under the basket must catch the ball within one bounce, otherwise one point is deducted from the total score.
  • After three shots the rebounder becomes shooter and the shooter becomes rebounder.
  • Which team will have 15 points first?

Pairs:

  1. Number 1 with the ball starts in front of the basket.
  2. Number 2 stands left or right in front of the basket.
  3. Number 1 throws to number 2 and then pulls away to the side where number 2 is not standing.
    • So number 2 is on the left side of the basket, number 1 walks to the right side of the basket.
  4. Number 2 throws the ball to number 1, after which number 1 shoots.
  5. Number 1 must catch his own ball.
  6. During the shot of number 1, number 2 sprints to the pawn, which is on a random spot on the field.
    • Place on the pitch depends on the child's level.
  7. If number 1 hits the ball, he/she gets one point, if number 1 catches the ball before number 2 reaches the cone, number 1 also gets one point.
    • so possibility of getting 2 points
  8. Change function.

  • The first to get 6 points wins (variation possible).
  • Is the sprinting too easy: add an extra pawn, which increases the sprint distance and for example makes a fast turn.
