Korfball drills

  • 1 post less than number of shooters.
  • As long as music is playing, players run in circles.
  • When the music stops, they can take goal attempts.
  • On each post a maximum of 2 attempts may be made.
  • As soon as this is done. The attackers put the ball on the ground.
  • Who scores first....
    • through balls
    • feint
    • shots
  • 2 posts facing each other.
  • Shooter with defender.
  • May pass 1x before defender steps in.
  • Then defender jumps in or allows shot.
  • When a goal is scored, at a good rebound or at good step out, rebounder becomes attacker otherwise, the defender becomes attacker.
  • This happens on the opposite post.

You try to get to the highest level in the 1-1 as fast as possible. When you reach a level you will go straight on with another defender.

Maximum 6 ball contacts

  • Level 1 : 2 goals no matter how.
  • Level 2 : 2 goals of which 1 goal is a shot (If 1 goal is scored, change but you stay in the same level. No goal is level back)
  • Level 3: 2 goals of which 1 goal is a through ball(If 1 goal is scored, you change but you stay in the same level. No goal is level back)
  • Level 4: 2 goals scored of 2 shots (If 1 goal is scored, you change but you stay in the same level. No goal is level back)

Up to 4 ball contacts

  • Level 5 : 2 goals no matter how.
  • Level 6 : 2 goals of which 1 goal is a shot (If 1 goal is scored, change but you stay in the same level. No goal is level back)
  • Level 7: 2 goals of which 1 goal is a through ball(If 1 goal is scored, you change but you stay in the same level. No goal is level back)
  • Level 8: 2 goals scored of 2 shots (If 1 goal is scored, you change but you stay in the same level. No goal is level back)

Up to 3 ball contacts

  • Level 9 : 2 goals no matter how.
  • Level 10 : 2 goals of which 1 goal is a shot (If 1 goal is scored, change but you stay in the same level. No goal is level back)
  • Level 11: 2 goals of which 1 goal is a through ball(If 1 goal is scored, you change but you stay in the same level. No goal is level back)
  • Level 12: 2 goals scored of 2 shots (If 1 goal is scored, you change but you stay in the same level. No goal is level back)
  • groups of 3 at a post.
  • 1 fixed passer.
  • 2 shooters.
  • These keep moving at about 5 - 6 meters from the post.
  • Trying a shot must always be tuned to capturing it again.
  • The time between capture and goal attempt must always be as short as possible.
  • There are always 2 different types of goal attempts and the goalkeepers always take the same type of goal attempt.
  • 1 through-ballplayer and 1 defector. (change at 5 scores pp)
  • 1 defector and 1 chance behind post (change at 5 scores)

  • 2 players at a distance from the post with ball.
  • 1 player below the post.
  • Trainer calls head shoulders knee head etc.
  • Only when the ball is in the post, the player with the fastest ball is allowed to take a through ball.
  • The other player tries to defend.
  • At 3 goals the winner may decide whether to give or continue.
  • 2 shooters and a rebounder with a defender.
  • The 2 shooters play over.
  • The rebounder keeps moving in such a way that it keeps the attention of the defender.
  • When he has attention he can run to the post to catch the shot that takes place.
  • Switching at a goal.
  • Defender may not run with back to rebounder...
  • Place the poles in a row next to each other.
  • Underneath each post there will be a marker with a ball.
  • The players take a through-ball on the first post after which they catch their own ball.
  • The passer then runs to the front of the next post, moves on and takes a through-ball on this post.
  • Here, the ball is caught again and the captain moves on to the next post.
  • At the last pole, the passer runs behind the posts back to the first pole.
  • Work towards a number of goals (2 times the number of poles is fine).
  • This can also be done with other forms of chances such as drawback balls.
  • There's a support and an attacker.
  • The support throws the ball to the attacker
  • As soon as the ball is thrown, the support must immediately go after it to defend it.
  • So the intention is that they shoot as fast as possible.
drawing shooting under pressure

The chaos game is fun for younger children, but can also be played with older children.

  • In the chaos game the intention is that every child has a ball, and that there are 3 or 4 poles (also depending on the number of players).
  • lined up.
  • Each player starts at the same pole,
  • there's a countdown and then they all start shooting,
  • if they can score, they proceed one pole
  • if they don't score, they stay at the pole until they do.
  • You can agree in advance whether they should have been past each pole 1, 2 or 3 times depending on the level.
  • Variation: you can use pilons to mark a circle outside which players have to shoot,
  • they're only allowed in to catch the ball.
  • The materials below are for 4 persons (hat = pilon)

Activity:

Number one;

Scoring 5 through-balls

Number 2;

1 lap around the whole field

Number 3;

scoring 10 short chances.

Number 4;

5 penalties.

Number 5:

4 goals from 5 meters

For each group they have to do each exercise in a certain order and then they write that order down and come to the trainer.

  • The trainer puts a circle in the right place if an exercise is in the correct order.
  • Put a cross through it if it is wrong.

Then the group continues with a different order and do the same as above

The groups will continue until they get the code right.

  • You put pilons in a square.
  • In the square you put a number of balls (one less than the number of players).
  • The players run around the square and then the trainer yells YES.
  • If the trainer says YES, the player takes a ball as quickly as possible.
  • If you have a ball, you score 3 goals.
  • The remaining player continues to run around the square until someone finishes shooting.
  • Place 4 posts in a square.
  • The whole group runs around the posts in a row.
  • If the trainer shouts "yes", the person at the back of the row will run to the front of the row as quickly as possible.
  • The children do this by sprinting.
  • Options:
    • The children follow each other around the posts in a row.
    • The person at the front of the row can do what he wants, for example: heels to the back, sprinting, lifting knees etc.
    • If the trainer shouts "yes", the person at the back of the queue gets to the front of the queue as soon as possible and can then choose what he wants to do.
    • It has to be something else than running/jogging, it can be sprinting.
