Soccer drills

  • Improve the position game.
  • Blue plays with 3 white and red has to conquer the ball.
  • 10 times around blue is one point, two points when played by red.

  • Warming up with the ball 10 minutes
    • 1 Passing 
    • 2 Bouncing
    • 2 Passing 
    • 1 Dribble 
    • 1 Passing
    • 2 Boucing
    • 2 Crossing
    • Dribble
  • Perform the exercise so often that no one has to sit still.
  • Coaching the above mentioned techniques. 
  • Motivate the players to complete the exercise within the given time. 
  • Every training session 5 seconds faster. 
  • A variation or addition is to have players run and pass the ball in diagonal lines.

  • Very nice warm up 10 minutes
    • Player 1 passes the ball to player 2 
    • Player 2 passes the ball to player 3
    • Player 1 runs behind player 2
    • Player 3 passes the ball to player 1
    • Player 1 passes the ball to player 4 and runs on to the pawn near player 6
    • Player 2 runs diagonally left along player 3
    • Player 4 passes the ball to player 2 
    • Player 2 passes the ball to player 5 and then runs on to the pawn near player 5
  • When it goes well the speed has to go up.
  • When it doesn't go well, the speed has to go down and they always have to receive the ball first. 
  • When it still goes well, make the field smaller.
  • The way back is the same
    • Player 5 passes the ball to player 6
    • Player 6 passes the ball to player 4
    • Player 5 runs behind player 6
    • Player 4 passes the ball to player 5
    • Player 6 passes the ball to player 3 and runs on to the pawn near player 2
    • Player 6 runs diagonally left along player 4
    • Player 3 passes the ball to player 6 
    • Player 6 passes the ball to player 1 and then runs on to the pawn near player 1

  • Exercise corner kick 15 minutes.
  • Coach on where to stand and what running lines are expected of them. 
  • Only run when the ball is played. 
  • No fixed instruction, do not walk on top of each other. 
  • If possible, shoot straight away. 
  • When not scoring, create more overtime with attackers. 
  • The goal is to score when there are an even number of opponents.
  • Let the attackers change positions often.

  • Player 1 rebounds on player 2.
  • Player 2 sprints around the pawn and then runs towards the goal to receive the cross.
  • Player 1 drives towards the pawn and rebounds to player 3.
  • Player 3 runs to the back line after the handball with player 1 passing deep.
  • Player 3 crosses and player 1 finishes.
  • ATTENTION:
    • Dribble and tap the ball every 1 or 2 steps.
    • Control the ball.
    • The deep pass must be powerful.
    • Player 1 must keep good contact for the cross and sprint in time for the goal.

  • Bb4 against bbt 3 exercise 10 minutes.
  • The aim is for the bb side to dribble the ball over the line or pass it several times. (For example, start at 5 and go higher and higher).
  • To make it more difficult they may only touch the ball 2/3 times. 
  • Bbt side must try to dribble the ball over the opponent's line. 
  • Or pass 5 times. 
  • Always play with 1 overtime. 
  • Adjust the size of the field if it is difficult to play over.

  • Position game replay 15-20 minutes.
  • Go from easy to difficult:
    • Level 1, 7 or 8 against 3. (if the ball goes round between 15 and 20 times, move on to the next level, the levels take place over weeks and not in 1 training session) 
    • Level 2, 7 against 4.
    • Level 3, 7/6 against 5. (10 times around is next)
    • Level 4, 6 against 6.
  • Coach on finding the easy ball and trying to pass the ball into space. 
  • When a level doesn't work out, make the field bigger or go back a level. 
  • Try to coach your technique training positively when you see the action in positional play (e.g. turning open or handball).
  • BB is making the field big, BBT is making the field small.

  • Distance: 
    • From blue pylon 6 m wide and 10 m back 
  • Execution:
    • Players A play to B who turns open and passes the ball to the incoming players C. 
    • C runs in when A plays in. 
  • Coach moment: 
    • A passing at the right speed. 
    • B asks A for the ball and turns it open at the right speed, passes to C.
    • C runs in immediately when A plays in.

  • Duration 
    • 20 min
  • Dimension: 
    • Width 10 mtr.
    • length 20 mtr.
  • Execution: 
    • Make sure that it runs well for the outside players. 
    • If not, one player less in the middle.  
    • Players in the middle are decisive in shifting the game, so make sure you have the right players here.
  • Coach moment:
    • Keep space, act quickly and turn open.

  • Player stands behind a set of steps.
    • Two feet per "step" in the staircase.
  • Watch your posture: 
    • Walk straight.
    • Knees slightly bent.
    • Short movements.
    • Arms should be active along the body.
  • Variation
    • Side-Step with two feet per step;
    • Zigzagging with one foot in, then two feet on the step, then one foot back in. (different from the first)
    • After kicking off, start sprinting and rebound at the pylon on the ball played in.
  • Then go back in line.

  • We play 3 against 3, to the same goal. 
  • If one team loses the ball, the other team takes over the attack. 
  • The other team must always move back behind a cone.
  • So that the defending team can set up. (must go quickly, practise switching).
