Soccer drills

  • Player stands behind a set of steps.
    • Two feet per "step" in the staircase.
  • Watch your posture: 
    • Walk straight.
    • Knees slightly bent.
    • Short movements.
    • Arms should be active along the body.
  • Variation
    • Side-Step with two feet per step;
    • Zigzagging with one foot in, then two feet on the step, then one foot back in. (different from the first)
    • After kicking off, start sprinting and rebound at the pylon on the ball played in.
  • Then go back in line.
  • Place pylons as shown in the picture.
  • Players on pylon 1, pylon 2 and pylon 3.
  • Player 2 runs round the pylon, calls and offers. (practise running free from man).
  • Player pylon 1 plays in and player pylon 2 rebounds.
  • Player pylon 2 walks up to pos 1 2 or 3 to choose place to finish.
  • Player pylon 1 passes to player pylon 3.
  • Player pylon 3 sends a tailored cross to the chosen place of player pylon 2.
  • Player pylon 2 takes over or finishes directly on the chosen spot.

Preparation:

  • Make groups of 2 for this passing warm-up, with 1 ball per group of 2.
  • The players with ball line up, on the sideline. The other players stand opposite to eachother, about 6 meters from the player with ball.

 

Exercise:

  • Player A dribbles forward, while player B jogs backwards across the field.
  • As the players jog across the field, player A passes the ball to B, who passes back to A, just until they reach the opposite sideline.
  • The roles reverse when the players reach the other side of the field. Player A then runs backwards to the line where they started.

Variation possibilities:

  • alternate from right foot to left foot.
  • try to apply one hit
  • focus on quality over speed, it's not a race.
  • The team stands ready in 2 groups behind a pawn. 
  • They are given an exercise by the trainer and do it 1x.  On the way back they run back and close behind. 
  • 2 players run at the same time. The next one leaves when the pair has passed the first hat.

  • Note two roles for 1 player: handball and passer and then playable again for attack.

  • Start in the corner and pass as given
  • Player runs ball behind
  • Left bottom corner dribbles back to start (last player in the game)

  • 4 players on position as on picture.
  • Notice:
    • With player 2 2 players in line.
  • Player 1 plays player 2.
  • Player 2 turns and passes to wing player 3 right in front.
  • Player 3 near the 16 meter width pass on the left for player 4.
  • Player 4 passes the ball wide and player 1 finishes.
  • Player 1 to player 2, player 2 to player 3.
  • Player 3 to player 4, player 4 takes the ball and goes to the front of the line.

  • Each player receives a number beforehand.
  • Players move randomly within the indicated space.
  • After receiving the ball, it is passed to the next player.

  • 2 teams are made.
  • In the middle is a pylon (or several).
  • Teams transfer the ball to other side first by example:
    • Throwing over.
    • Kick over.
    • Dropkick.
    • Heading.
  • Ball must be placed on the opposite side of the pile.
  • After this the next player can do it.
  • When the last ball is returned, the pawn in the middle can be kicked over.

  • Within the defined field, play is 4x4.
  • At each edge a neutral player stands.
  • This player is not allowed to enter the field, but has to move (offer).
  • Switching is easy when every team has its own colour.

  • The neutral players stand on the sideline.
  • The game is played with pupil goals.
  • Defenders can score directly after possession of the ball.
  • Attackers must pass over X times.

  • The neutral players remain on the flank, but move about (offer).
  • The defence can score on a small pupil goal when they catch the ball.
