Soccer drills
- Bb4 against bbt 3 exercise 10 minutes.
- The aim is for the bb side to dribble the ball over the line or pass it several times. (For example, start at 5 and go higher and higher).
- To make it more difficult they may only touch the ball 2/3 times.
- Bbt side must try to dribble the ball over the opponent's line.
- Or pass 5 times.
- Always play with 1 overtime.
- Adjust the size of the field if it is difficult to play over.
- Position game replay 15-20 minutes.
- Go from easy to difficult:
- Level 1, 7 or 8 against 3. (if the ball goes round between 15 and 20 times, move on to the next level, the levels take place over weeks and not in 1 training session)
- Level 2, 7 against 4.
- Level 3, 7/6 against 5. (10 times around is next)
- Level 4, 6 against 6.
- Coach on finding the easy ball and trying to pass the ball into space.
- When a level doesn't work out, make the field bigger or go back a level.
- Try to coach your technique training positively when you see the action in positional play (e.g. turning open or handball).
- BB is making the field big, BBT is making the field small.

- From blue pylon 6 m wide and 10 m back
- Execution:
- Players A play to B who turns open and passes the ball to the incoming players C.
- C runs in when A plays in.
- Coach moment:
- A passing at the right speed.
- B asks A for the ball and turns it open at the right speed, passes to C.
- C runs in immediately when A plays in.
- Player stands behind a set of steps.
- Two feet per "step" in the staircase.
- Watch your posture:
- Walk straight.
- Knees slightly bent.
- Short movements.
- Arms should be active along the body.
- Variation
- Side-Step with two feet per step;
- Zigzagging with one foot in, then two feet on the step, then one foot back in. (different from the first)
- After kicking off, start sprinting and rebound at the pylon on the ball played in.
- Then go back in line.
- Remark:
- 2 goalkeepers constantly alternate, every 5 balls.
- Finishing exercise.
- Reaching the goal through clean passing.
- Sequence:
- Pass.
- Turn up + pass.
- Turn up + pass.
- Handball.
- Pass.
- Finish.
- Logical turn-around, deflecting striker picks up the ball from the player who shot.
- The player who shoots immediately rejoins as a central handball player in the dot.
- Comment:
- 4 players from JO17-1 join position play JO19-1.
- That leaves 10 players. (incl. 2 goalkeepers)
- Passing exercise:
- Combination of short passing, handball, opening up, and shifting play.
- Double teaming at the pawns.
- Trainer may join in so that the exercise continues due to the number of players.
- Sequence:
- Pass - handball - check + cross ball - check + short pass - handball - tight low ball - dribble.
- Logical passing.
- Duration
- approx 15 min
- Distances:
- 5 mtr by 5 mtr
- Explanation:
- Playing around the ball or hitting it outside the lines is changing with the hunter.
- If the ball is played between the 2 hunters, they stay in the middle for 1 turn longer.
- Coach moment:
- 4 players must close between the lines where the ball is.
- When the ball is played in, pay attention to opening up immediately and keep calm.
- Duration:
- Residual.
- Width:
- 16 mtr area.
- Length:
- 30 mtr.
- At end of length 2 small goals.
- Teams:
- Defence plus midfielders with goalkeeper.
- Attack plus midfielders score big goal.
- Distance:
- Round up from 16 onwards and build up from there.
- All at 10 mtrs distance.
- Duration:
- 20 minutes.
- Elaboration:
- Same as pass form.
- A to B.
- B to C.
- C to D.
- D lays wide and C rounds off.
- Duration:
- After each exercise a series of 1x.
- Distance:
- 10mtr between each pylon.
- Explanation:
- Sprint to the pylon.
- After every pylon, move 1 pylon further.
- Coach moment:
- Make sure your arms are bent forward.
- Make sure they move along the body while running but arms remain bent.
- Duration
- Approx 15 min.
- Distances:
- 8 mtr by 8 mtr.
- Explanation:
- Playing around the ball or hitting it outside the lines is changing with the hunter.
- Coach moment:
- Four players must close between the lines where the ball is.
- When the ball is played in, it is important to open up immediately and keep calm.
- Place pylons as shown in the picture.
- Players on pylon 1, pylon 2 and pylon 3.
- Player 2 runs round the pylon, calls and offers. (practise running free from man).
- Player pylon 1 plays in and player pylon 2 rebounds.
- Player pylon 2 walks up to pos 1 2 or 3 to choose place to finish.
- Player pylon 1 passes to player pylon 3.
- Player pylon 3 sends a tailored cross to the chosen place of player pylon 2.
- Player pylon 2 takes over or finishes directly on the chosen spot.
