Volleyball drills

  • The player jumps over the fence and then jumps with 1 leg into the hoop and back for the next fence, continuing like this until the end
  • You jump sideways over the fence and then jump 1 leg into the 2 hoops. Are you at the outer hoop then you jump over the hoop back next to the fence.
  • You jump over one fence sideways and back with 1 big step you jump to the other fence and jump back over it and back again and then you sprint to the pawn. then over the ladder.
drawing Jumping Condition
  • Starting in the back at a distance of about 3 meters
  • Play in pairs towards the net
  • Always play one meter diagonally forward
  • Play overhead, underhand, backhand
  • Hit the last ball over the net
  • If necessary, play a ball in front of yourself
  • If too easy, increase distance
drawing Zigzag replay
1 person in the middle plays the ball up, teammates in a circle around it must make sure the ball comes back:
  • With 1 hand touching the ball, never 2x in a row
  • In 5x back or touched 2x by everyone
  • Touching the ground with the hand after each action
  • Walking around and along the cones
  • Along the short side do an exercise.
  • For example: knees high, feet against seat, sprint, etc.
drawing Sustained walking
  • Divide the team into two groups and have them form two rows facing each other on the 3-meter line.
  • Have the players play over the net and then walk around the cone to join the other group.
  • On 1 side, parallel to the sideline, place a speed ladder and before joining the line, have the players do a drill through the ladder.
  • On the other side, place pawns where they have to slalom, turn around.
  • Importantly, the ball should not fall to the ground, communication is important.
  • Optionally add a penalty if the ball falls to the ground. Head roll, Back roll.
  • First with underhand throwing and catching - then overhand. Catch and push change to toss up and over-key.
drawing Warm up with ball
Equipment setup:
  • Goal in the middle of the field against the wall, with one player in it
  • Other players in a row
Game sequence:
  1. Players throw/strike the ball at the goal and try to score in the goal. Each in turn.
  2. The player in the goal , blue, tries to keep the balls out of the goal.
Note:
Use 5 pawns as scoreboards.
Each player who scores may take a pawn away from the goalkeeper. At 5 goals switch players in goal.

drawing Goal
  • Trainer throws ball in the air
  • 2 players run for the fastest to the ball.
  • Whoever has the ball attacks.
  • Whoever does not have the ball goes to defend goal.
drawing Ball track estimation
  • Per 2 keys to the hoop
  • One player stands in front of the hoop
  • She/he must run to the back
  • Ball can also be passed short so you must also defend short
  • Reception back
drawing Reception
This is a game-style exercise.
  • In the opposite field, place a bench with a number of upright pawns on it.
  • Children line up on the 3-meter line one after the other.
  • The trainer throws/plays the ball out and the children hit the ball over the net and try to knock the pawns off the bench.
  • Pawn off the bench? Then you have 1 point.
Who has knocked the most pawns off the bench?
  • You start at the back line
  • You have to come to the three-meter line with the following exercises:
    • Back and forth with leg
    • Knees high
    • Knees against seat
    • Jumping with 2 feet together
    • Sideways
  • Once at the three-meter line, sit deep
  • Throw the ball into the net and catch it back
  • We form two rows at the back line.
  • We take 1 ball per 2 players.
  • Players alternate playing to each other! The last one tries to score the ball in the basket.
  • You can possibly make these more difficult by placing the basket past the net so they have to go under here.
    • All keys
    • All underhand
    • Alternate keying/underhand
    • Free choice - last player scores by hitting the basket with an overhand shot
