Batting with a fixed distributor, we pay attention to our run-up.

attacking-and-scoring-1

The attackers get the assignment to score directly with their attack. The defence of course gets the assignment to prevent this.

The game is played with a fixed distributor. A number of attackers stand at one side of the playing field with a ball. They play the ball to the distributor, who gives a setup for the attacker to attack.

If the attacker scores, he goes back to the back of the line of attackers (as a reward). If the attacker does not score, he must defend. For that purpose, the following sequence is used: Attacker - A - B - C - D - Attacker.

At the defense A is the blocker.

Discuss clearly in advance what immediate scoring means: ball on the ground or also if there is no playable defense.

Required:

  • fixed playmaker s
  • row of attackers with ball plays ball to sv
  • Set-up to attacker 1
  • If attack scores, to the back of the row of attackers.
  • Otherwise attacker 1 to A - B - C- D- attacker
  • In defence: A = blocker, BCD= at the back

attacking-and-scoring

Besides technique, communication is very important in volleyball. And both aspects apply to this exercise. And respond adequately to situations which are different than normal. In such an exercise you see very well how different players are.

service-and-defense-5

3 players position for passing (numbers 3, 4 and 5). Player 2 is ready on the side of the same side. The other players are ready with the ball to serve on the other side.

  • Player 1 serves the ball (and immediately walks back to where player 2 is standing).
  • A player passes the ball. Another player sets up. And a third player plays the ball over the net. All three players have to play the ball, or pass, or set up, or attack
  • When the ball is over the net, the players rotate: 2 enters the field (where 3 was standing) 3 goes to centre back, 4 goes to where 5 was standing, and 5 goes to the serving spot on the other side.
  • Then the next player can serve, player 8 on the drawing etc.

Necessary:

  • 4 balls
  • 7-8 players
  • 4 cones in the corners, 1 central base to which the player always returns.
  • The player moves to one of the cones and plays the ball back OH, the intention is to recover the ball well.
  • Short and quick ball changes.
drawing Ball recovery

start with tennis balls

  • mark 2 zones on the field in the backfield
  • take steps from the 3 meter line and throw the tennis ball with attack technique.
  • exercise can be made more difficult with volleyball
    • try to own throw + stroke
    • pass + stroke
drawing Battle attack to marked zones

Part 1:

  • At the position where the attacker would normally pass the ball over, a basket is placed.
  • by means of a high key the ball is played into the basket
  • make it more difficult by adding an extra pass BH or OH

Part 2:

  • instead of the basket the attacker makes the move but does not hit!
  • catching the ball overhead with the striking hand behind the ball

Part 3:

  • pass and strike
drawing Pass to Attack

Exercise on stroke

  • per 2 players one hoop and one tennisball
  • try to play the tennis ball into the hoop with an overhand throw, pay attention to the wrist movement
  • the difficulty can be determined by increasing the distance to the hoop.
  • afterwards with a volleyball
  • next step throw and hit yourself
drawing Battle attack

cmv-track

Basic exercise:

  • Trainer throws ball, player catches ball and puts it in the cart.
  • After this the player goes to the ladder. Here he goes through it and joins the next row.

Differentiation/Extension:

  • Throwing the ball in a difficult way (left and right, front and back).
  • Playing underhand and catching for themselves.
  • Two players stand ready next to each other and have to call loose.
  • A setupper comes on and has to catch the underhand ball.
  • An attacker arrives and has to play the ball from the setupper over the net.

  • Smurf tag is actually very similar to normal tag.
  • You have Gargamel who has to tag everyone.
  • Smurffin/Smurf has to free the ones who are touched.
  • When you are tapped you have to stand still on the spot and wait until Smurf/ Smurf frees you.
  • When Smurf/ Smurf is finished the game is over.
  • You let the children stand or sit in a row with their eyes closed so you can tap the Gamel and Smurf/Smurf.
