Volleyball drills

Players face each other on opposite sides of the net. Each player has a ball.
  • Player a. and player b. simultaneously throw underhand over the net with 2 hands and catch each other's ball
    • Match: each player throws over the net 10 times! Which pair is the fastest?
  • Player a. chooses from rolling under the net or throwing over. Player b. must do the opposite. Choose and switch 5 times each
  • Player a. and player b. simultaneously throw underhand over the net with 2 hands and now catch each other's ball in key position overhead.
  • Player a. and player b. simultaneously throw underhand over the net with 2 hands - now key each other's ball vertically above the head and now catch in key position above the head.

  • 2 groups of players
  • First player starts with tennis ball and puts it in first hat.
  • Second player starts without tennis ball, walks to first hat, takes tennis ball and puts it on second hat.
  • Third player starts without tennis ball, walks to second hat, takes tennis ball and puts it on the third hat.
  • When the ball is on the last hat, the next player starts back with a tennis ball and places it on the first hat.
  • The game ends when all balls are on the hats.

  • Pairs are made.
  • Each pair tries to play over for as long as possible without the ball hitting the ground.
  • After a few minutes, the pairs become 4-pairs.
  • The 4-pairs again start playing over without allowing the ball to fall to the ground.
  • If the step from 2 to 4 is too big, this can also be done first in 3-pairs.
Players stand facing each other about 1 meter with a ball in between on the ground.

Trainer calls out body parts they should tap:
  • ankle
  • head
  • ear
  • knee
  • hips
  • shoulder
When the trainer calls "BAL," they take the ball as fast as they can.

Players stand in a circle per 2 behind each other.

Trainer calls out commands:
  • jump -jump up and down-
  • back -back player jumps onto back of front player and off-
  • switch -players switch places-
  • sit -players sit down and get back up-
  • high 5 -first player turns around and players give high 5-
  • low 5 -first player turns around and players give a low 5-
BAL: back players run around and then crawl through their game partner's legs to take the ball.

Pairs a ball.

  • 1 player bounces ball, other player tries to take it away without grabbing the opposing player. If successful, the role changes.
  • In pairs pass the ball from one side of the room to the other. Without running with the ball yourself. Who is the fastest? If it goes wrong, pick up where it went wrong.
  • Same, but then throw it. If it goes wrong then start again.
  • Ball in the middle of the room between the players. Players on the back line on coach's signal run to the ball. Who has the ball first?
  • Players one meter apart with ball in the middle on the floor. On signal from trainer. Hands on head/ knee/ shoulder/ or ball.
  • 1 of the two has the ball and holds it with two hands. Opponent has hands just above the ball. As soon as the other drops the ball, try to catch it before it hits the ground.
Players stand in pairs with 1 ball.
Start about 2 meters apart.
Repeat the same thing 4 times each time. Then player switches places with their playing partner.

  • On belly and they push the ball back and forth 5 times - then course OH throwing to each other. After throwing, player moves via side shuffle.
  • On belly and they push the ball back and forth 5 times - then course overhand keying/pushing - catch ball each time.
  • On knees start with 5 times keying/pushing - then course overhand keying/pushing - 1 player catches - 1 player keys back immediately.
  • Starting on knees with 5 times keying/pushing - then overhand keying/pushing - who can continue keying?

Players line up one behind the other.
Can be played in 2 teams as a match.

  • Ball passing overhead.
  • Passing the ball through the legs.
  • Ball passed through the hip -right -left - alternating-.
  • Ball is passed alternately above the head and through the legs.

  • Ball is rolled between players' legs from front to back. Rear player takes ball and runs to front and does this again.
  • Players lie on their stomachs on the ground. Rear player jumps over each player. At the end he turns around and throws the ball to the back player. And again.
  • Players lie on their stomachs on the ground. Rear player jumps over each player. At the end he turns around and rolls the ball to the back player under the other players who have formed a bridge at that time.
  • Form two rows at the back line.
  • 1 ball per 2 players.
  • Players alternate playing to each other!
  • The last one tries to score the ball in the basket.

  • Have the players store against the wall.
