Volleyball drills

  • 2-2 or 3-3 (possibly on 2 fields)
  • there is a winner's square and an entry square
  • the winner moves to the winner's square
  • losers get out
  • new team enters the entry zone
  • you can only score one point in the winner's zone

the intention is to bring the ball in pairs from one line to the other

  • You may only touch the ball with your feet.
  • if you have the ball between your feet, you may only turn, so do not slide
  • first one starts on the first line with the ball behind the line
  • who puts the ball on the other side first (no rolling over the line)
  • 2-2
  • Play all in 3
    • catch throw OH (pass)
      • arms outstretched
    • catch throw BH (setup)
      • hold the ball up over your head
      • Point the ball with your arms outstretched
    • BH over the net
      • stretch all joints
  • Played or thrown over the net:
    • change places
    • turn around each other, back to your own spot
    • both tap a pawn (near the net poles)
    • Lie on the ground, the other one over it
  • First working together (on which field is the first to get it right 7 times in a row)
  • then against each other (who has 5 points first - or 5 minutes)

  • Hit the ball with dominant hand
    • loose open hand
  • let it hit the ground 2 times
  • then check with the other hand and hit again
  • now with 1x touch the ground

just everybody practice for themselves

  • Catch and throw with outstretched arms.
  • Throwing up high and catching
  • throwing up high, BH and catching
  • throwing up high, OH and catching
  • Via catching / throwing movement over the net (usually frontal).
  • Throwing up and back over the net with a catching and throwing motion.
  • Catch and throw movement overhead over the net.
  • Catch and throw movement and underarms over the net.
  • First learn the game well (playing together, let the children concentrate on one accent).

After that matches (resistance, playing against each other).

for right-hander:

  • player has the ball in the LH
  • bounce the ball with the LH
  • and hit the ball with the RH
  • continue like this

These exercises can be done in many variations.

  • 2 equal groups of 5 to 6
  • relay. so which group finishes first?
    1. speed ladder
    2. under 'mat on benches
    3. 10x skipping rope
    4. slalom through poles
    5. climb over a cupboard
    6. 3x push-ups
    7. 10x jump with 2 legs on bench
    8. touch the next one
    9. ATTENTION: to smuggle is to start over with the part (not the whole course of course)
  • Place the hats in a square with about 5 m between them.
  • Two players are the catchers, the rest move inside the square.
  • The 2 scapegoats can tap the other players with the ball. The catchers are not allowed to walk with the ball.
  • By throwing over the ball the taggers can tap the other players.
  • If you are tagged or move outside the square, you are out and you belong to the taggers.
  • everyone dribbles down the hall
  • Left, right
  • Same, but now you can hit the ball away from someone else.
  • when you have lost the ball, throw it 2x into the basket
  • start at the back line (or choose other lines)
  • tap 1 line to the front
  • back to the starting line -> touch it
  • 2 lines forward -> touch
  • 1 line back -> touch
  • 2 lines forward -> touch
  • etc

float

  • row of players with the trainer
  • The first one pushes the ball into the trainer's hands.
  • player stands in line left or right
  • players can play BH and/or OH
  • is about PLAY and DIRECTaction

If the exercise runs well:

  • then the receiver can play the ball bra along the net
  • Also run after your own ball again
  • Receiver catches ball and joins in line with trainer
