Volleyball drills for technique warming-up

In pairs of 2 players, we will take the ball to the other side of the field. Back in light runs along the outside of the field.

  • Side steps: hands together with ball on arms.
  • Side steps: ball wedged between 2 players on belly.
  • Side steps: ball between 2 players trapped on back.
  • Side steps: ball between 2 players clasped at the neck.
  • Side steps: ball between 2 players clasped on forehead.
Attack from 3 meters and score on the mat.
Which team has 10 points first?
Alternately, each player goes around the pawn and gets the ball from a teammate for the 3-meter attack.

Divide the group in half, start from the back line.

  • Sprint to the net.
  • Sprint to 7 meters.
  • Sprint to net.
  • Sprint to 3 meters.
  • Under the net and dive toward the bench.
  • Over the bench.
  • Around the pawn and sprint back to starting position.
  • As soon as 1st player is back, tap the next one.
Which team is the fastest?

  • Make 2 rows with 1 trainer each.
  • Each player has a ball.
  • We roll the ball to the opposite side of the field.
  • Player tries to stop ball before the back line.
  • The ways of rolling - stopping:
    • Player stands - rolls ball - player stops ball.
    • Player is sitting - rolling - player stops ball.
    • Player lies on belly - rolls - player stops ball.
    • Player lies on belly - rolls - player stops ball by lying in front of ball and stopping with forehead.
    • Player lies on belly - rolling - going around ball - passing ball through legs - player stops ball.
    • Player next to trainer - trainer throws ball - player catches ball OH after max 1 bots.
    • Player next to trainer - trainer throws ball - player runs under ball and turns towards trainer - player catches ball OH after max 1 bots.

  • Place a table at the 3-meter line with a mat on it.
  • 1 player takes a seat behind the table.
  • The row of players on the other side of the net.
  • Players play the ball over the net onto the table with mat. Can the player at the table catch the ball after 1 bots then 1 point may be put.
  • Who gets 25 points first?

  • Place a table between the net and the 3-meter line with a mat on top.
  • 1 player takes place behind the table
  • Row players on the other side of the net.
  • Players throw OH over the net onto the table/mat. Can the player at the table catch the ball after 1 bots then 1 point may be put.
  • Who gets 25 points first?
Expansion :
  1. Throwing up and over keys.
  2. Save underhand.
  3. Save BH.

  • Row in front of trainer behind three-meter line, trainer at net.
  • Player keys the ball, trainer plays/throws it back.
  • Then player passes OH to trainer.
  • Trainer passes to 2nd player keys the ball over the net.
  • Player retrieves ball and joins other group.

  • Divide players into 2 teams over both halves of the field. 1 player waits at the pawn.
  • Trainer throws the ball in. Teams play the ball over the net to each other.
  • Each player who has played the ball taps the pawn, waits and then takes the place of the one currently leaving the field.
  • After playing over the net each time, pass on.
Extension: throw in the same way as you caught the ball.

  • Make 2 teams.
  • Each team stands ready on one side of the field on the back line.
  • Put as many balls as players on both the 3-meter lines.
  • When the trainer/trainer calls GO!, everyone starts rolling the balls to the other side.
  • Whoever has the fewest balls in their field after 3 minutes has won.

  • Blue must run around first pawn and Red runs straight through to tap Blue.
  • Red becomes Blue and flips over.
  • Player with ball carrier plays 1 ball per duo over net.
  • Duo tries to defend and make point.

  • Each side lie 2 mats on the ground
  1. Make roll on the mat and sprint to the net. Block jump.
  2. TR plays the ball in.
  3. Ball must be played in threes with attack.
  4. Who has the most points
  5. For extra point: 2 mats on other field, if hit get 2 points.
